We appreciate your interest in the University of Arkansas, School of Social Work. Our baccalaureate social work program (BSW) was created in 1940 making it one of the oldest social work programs in the country. Our MSW program (2-years, full-time) admitted its first group of students in Fall 2003. In summer 2007, we initiated an Advanced Standing (12-months, full-time) MSW program for eligible BSW graduates from a CSWE-accredited social work program. In fall 2009, we instituted a 3-Year Extended Program [please note that the 3-Year Extended Program accepts students every other year (e.g. Fall 2009; 2011; 2013; 2015)]. Both BSW and MSW programs are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
