Graduate Assistantships Graduate assistantships are stipends paid from a regular university account or from a grant/contract held by a faculty member or organizational unit on campus. Normally, the Graduate School does not award assistantships; rather these are paid by an individual department, faculty member, or organizational unit on campus. However the Dean of the Graduate School must approve all requests for new graduate assistant positions. For more detailed information on graduate assistantships please refer to the Graduate School Handbook located on the Graduate School website at: www.uark.edu/depts/gradinfo/. In addition, consult the School of Social Work for information about possible graduate student financial assistance.
Financial Aid Financial aid is also offered at the University of Arkansas through their Financial Aid department in 114 Silas H. Hunt Hall, Fayetteville, AR 72701. You can also reach them at 479-575-3806.
