MICHAEL COLLIE ENDOWED AWARD IN SOCIAL WORK
It is our pleasure to make all BSW students aware of an opportunity to apply for the first ever Michael Collie Endowed Award in Social Work. The lucky recipient will receive a $900 award from the School of Social Work for Fall 2020 semester!
If you didn’t know Michael Collie, here is a link to an interview we used during the campaign to endow this scholarship.
The purpose of the Michael Collie Endowed Award in Social Work will be to provide support for an undergraduate student majoring in Social Work.
Application criteria are:
a) Student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA;
b) Student is a senior in the Bachelor’s in Social Work undergraduate program;
c) Preference will be given to a member of Phi Alpha Honor Society
d) Write a 1,000 to 2,000 word essay answering the following questions;
Michael Collie believed in the clients and communities served by the social work profession. What would you do to better the lives of others with the time you have left? How can you use your influence to change the larger picture?
