BSW Minor

For a minor in social work students must complete 18 hours including:

• SCWK 21303 Introduction to Social Work 
• SCWK 31903 Human Experience and Social Work 
• SCWK 41503 Social Welfare Policies
• Nine (9) hours of social work electives

The student must notify the program of his or her intent to minor. The social work minor is not recognized by the Council on Social Work Education.

Social work minors and other non-majors may NOT enroll in any of the Social Work Practice courses (SCWK 43303, 43403, 47303) or in any of the Practicum Internship courses (SCWK 44304, 44102, 44404, 44202).
